What is Personal Training?
A personal trainer is a fitness professional who develops and implements an individualized personal exercise program through physical assessment, proper exercise instruction and personal motivation. This is based on clients’ specific needs, i.e. weight reduction, muscle toning, strengthening of bones and injury rehabilitation.
What to expect: A certified personal trainer will arrive at your home or office with portable exercise equipment and design a personal exercise program utilizing any fitness equipment you might own.
Many of the Personal trainers of In Your Home Therapy are certified Kinesiologists, Kinesiology was designated as a regulated health profession in the province of Ontario in 2007. Kinesiology is the study of human movement, performance, and function by applying the sciences of biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, psychology, and neuroscience. Kinesiology is the foundation of the Ontario’s health care system.
In Canada, kinesiology is a professional designation associated with the assessment of movement, performance, and function; and the rehabilitation, prevention, and management of disorders to maintain, rehabilitate, and enhance movement, performance, and function in the areas of sport, recreation, work, exercise, and general activities of daily living. Simply put a Kinesiologist can help you with your work out routine by assessing your body’s limitations in movement and correcting them thru repetitive exercises.
