Exciting Fall Sports to Try This Year
Summer might seem like the season for all the action, but don’t overlook fall for trying something new in the world of sports. In fact, it’s the perfect time to explore and challenge yourself. If you’re tired of the usual ways to stay active like golf or hiking, why not take in something different?
– Mountainboarding
Looking for something extreme? Then mountainboarding is for you. It’s a mashup of snowboarding and skateboarding. It’s not for the faint of heart though, as unlike snowboarding, there’s nothing to cushion your fall.
– Canoeing
If mountainboarding is too extreme for you, grab a partner and go canoeing. There are so many beautiful lakes around to explore, all with dazzling mountain backdrops. It’s a more peaceful sport, but don’t let it fool you. All that rowing will give your body a full workout. Schedule a massage for afterward!
– Horseback riding
One sport you can do this fall with the whole family is go horseback riding. Children love horses, and if you’re a little worried about climbing up on one yourself, there’s nothing more lovely than getting to pet and feed horses in the stables. If you’ve never tried it though, head to your local stables where they’ll be sure to saddle you up with a horse that won’t run wild. Taking to the trails on horseback, nothing could be more splendid. You can finish off your autumn ride with a picnic for a truly splendid fall day!
– Caving
Another adventurous sport you might like to try in fall is that of caving. You don’t have to go too daring at first if you don’t like. It’s best for those new to caving to start out with show caves that are more touristy. Get a feel for the sport and if it’s for you, you can explore the more challenging caves hidden in random cracks of the earth.
– Climbing
Climbing is great exercise and a challenge both mentally and physically. The weather in fall is perfect for it, though if you’re worried about having an actual fall, you might want to practice first in a climbing gym to get your footing right and to make sure you can rely on your belayer to keep you safe.
– Mountain biking
Instead of just biking the same relatively flat trails, why not take your love for cycling up a notch? Go mountain biking and you’ll enjoy thrills beyond compare!
– Hot yoga
And if you’d rather be inside where it’s warm, do your body some good with hot yoga, which will help you sweat it out and stretch out your body for better flexibility!
After all these sports, don’t forget to schedule an in-home massage. We can come to you anytime to help your work through muscle pain and fatigue as well as prevent injuries so call us today!
